First he ate some lettuces and some French beans; and then he ate some radishes; and then, feeling rather sick, he went to look for some parsley. But round the end of a cucumber frame, whom should he meet but Mr. McGregor!

This review is for the paperback edition. - Why would you publish a Peter Rabbit book with no illustrations? Some of the comments on the page said there were no illustrations and some comments said there were beautiful illustrations. Which was true? Since the book was not expensive, I took a chance. Well, the book that arrived had no illustrations. And the pages of type were not even layed out professionally. Just words, words, words. It wasn't worth sending it back, so I kept it. I then went to a brick and mortar book store. I had to spend a lot more, but I could see with my own eyes that there were beautiful illustrations.Product details

I received this book and much to my disappointment the front cover picture, which looks crystal clear online, was pixelated and blurry. It looks like someone just photo copied it and put the book together. Really disappointed especially after seeing other great reviews.
I love Beatrix Potter so I bought this to read the stories to my grandson. I am sure we will enjoy the experience but there are no illustrations which I think is half the fun of her stories.
I purchased the audible book, the volume is significantly much lower than my other audible books. Got a little frustrated when switching books.
When purchasing a Beatrix Potter book, I expected illustration along with the story. No illustrations led to great disappointment.
This book truly reflects its cheap price. Not very pleasing to the eye. Cover photo is pixelated. It doesn't have any pictures throughout this book. The text is kind of just crammed in there and jumbled up.
This is the worst audio book I’ve come across. The narration sounds like it was recorded on a 1980’s cassette player. There are multiple narrators and they all are very untalented. They make these lovely little stories a drag and a bore. No wonder so many other reviewers said they play this CD at bedtime. No one would want to stay awake to listen to this!
Love it. My 4 year old listens to this every day at nap time and every night at bed time. It makes going to bed easier.
I will warn you, some of the stories may be a bit disturbing to some. There is a lot of talk of the characters getting eaten by others. For example, one of the stories a kitten gets lost and the rats get him and plan to eat him. I personally am fine with them but you may want to listen to them yourself before playing them for your child.
